Life Insurance
The District provides all eligible employees with basic life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment. You are eligible on the first day of the month on or after the date you start continuous service with the District. You must be eligible for insurance and actively at work. Beginning on or after your 65th birthday, the amount of coverage decreases by percentage based on your age.
Additional life insurance, including accidental death and dismemberment benefit coverage, is available on a voluntary basis. Coverage / policies may be purchased by eligible employees and dependents.
